Public bug reported:

Attempting to install Ubuntu 20.04 or a server with RAID 1 setup
configured in BIOS as two RAID1 systems (500MB RAID1 + 1.7TB RAID1) is
not possible. The installer does not see the RAID1 groups and only
allows manual creation of software RAID. Moreover, the newly created
software RAID via Installer is not bootable (no option to create EFI
partition is available or marking as boot).

The same server was used in the past with Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04 and 18.04
and with all, the installer was recognising an existing software RAID as
preconfigured in BIOS and was allowing the usage of 500MB partition as
EFI boot.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
