OK, bad news then... This appears to be a kernel/hardware bug unique to your laptop. It's pretty rare but I have also seen it before on Lenovo X230s (I think). Next I suggest trying a live boot of Ubuntu 20.04: https://releases.ubuntu.com/20.04/ or just trying newer kernels: https://kernel.
