Public bug reported: Ubuntu version 20.04.1 LTS (was previously running 18.04.4 LTS and upgraded to try to resolve this issue) Intel Corporation Wireless-AC 9260
Problems with WiFi connection slowly grinding to a halt. From /var/syslog (see attachment for further info from the log): Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x2000000. This occurred first a couple of days ago presumably following an update. The logs /var/log/syslog and /var/log/kern.log filled up with the disk repeated attempts to restart the WiFi. I upgraded to the latest release of Ubuntu hoping to fix the problem. Also worth mentioning that I don't think its a hardware problem as wiFi works when I boot up from a USB pen drive. ** Affects: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Extracts from /var/log/syslog & /var/log/kern.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1889182/+attachment/5396498/+files/wifi.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1889182 Title: Microcode SW error detected.
