Hi Robie
It is intentional as the backport of functional test requires backport of some
other patches as well and number of patches are increasing to get a clean
backport. This is discussed during upstream patch review as well here
Ubuntu SRU team review for the Bionic upload.
This looks good to me, except that the functional test for this bug
previously added to the fix for Focal seems to have disappeared from
this backport. Was this intentional? If so, why has it been removed?
