I actually suffer from this on 11.04 unity, but before upgrading from
10.10 it was working fine. Here is its output:

Pida doesn't start for me either. I'm using Hardy amd64. Last line of debug

Thank you for your bug report. I couldn't reproduce this bug on Hardy
with the same version of pida. If I start pida with -D option it's
working fine. (see attachment). Are you using Hardy? Can you check if
you have vim-gnome installed? It's depending on gvim.
