Public bug reported: Running through the new QT/KDE installer for the first time, my system is not connected to the internet and the installer throws an error saying so.
I connect to the internet (navigating a bunch of painful kwallet messages which should be suppressed... for another bug). What happened: The installer did not update the error message, and I was still unsure about what content I was missing by not being connected to the internet What I expected to happen: There should have been some event or background polling going on to detect the connection and update the message with the correct content. Instead I had to shutdown the installer, and restart - ** Affects: ubuntustudio-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898631 Title: Installer does not update "system not connected to the internet" message dynamically To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-installer/+bug/1898631/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
