The same problem with hungarian characters. Is there any solution? Use
ALT when You type can help, but my problem is that I want to use a Type
Learning site so this is not a good solution for me. Thanx if Anybody
can help...

caracter that is having problem.

Got the same problem. Doesn't help if I set the encoding of the website
(that the flash is on) manually to something not UTF-8 (eg. ISO-8859-1).
Tested on http://www.flashtexteditor.com/ in demo mode.
My setup:
Ubuntu 8.04.1, amd64 architecture
Linux server11 2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Fri Jul 11

I can confirm this : every flash-based text input fails to encode my
special (french) characters : éèçà and others.
