After a fresh install of ubuntu 20.04, during "apt install gridengine-master",
I got the error described in

16.04:
Initializing spool (/var/spool/gridengine/spooldb)
Initializing global configuration based on
/usr/share/gridengine/default-configuration
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I attempted to get around it by installing the packages gridengine-
common_8.1.9+dfsg-9.1_all.deb, gridengine-
client_8.1.9+dfsg-9.1_amd64.deb, and gridengine-
master_8.1.9+dfsg-9.1_amd64.deb taken from sid. But this requires
installing libhwloc15_2.4.1~rc3+dfsg-1_amd64.deb which screws the
dependency relations when upgrading.
In order to upgrade and install developments packages, I had to remove
all the above-mentionned sid packages, and noticed that the focal
packages gridengine-*-8.1.9+dfsg-9.1 packages then could install without
error (obviously because spooldb is then initialized).
However, upon reboot, I now get from journalctl -xe:

Similar errors are logged everytime I do "service gridengine-master restart".
Reinstalling gridengine-master_8.1.9+dfsg-9.1_all.deb and sid packages,
the gridengine is operational and still so after reboot.
What I expect: to be able to install gridengine within focal, without
the need to also install libhwloc15_2.4.1~rc3+dfsg-1_amd64.deb which
breaks the depency relations for many development packages.
