Public bug reported:
After I installed open-vm-tools in an Ubuntu Hardy guest running on
VMware Fusion 1.1.1, I received the following error message during the
open-vm-tools configuration process and on every subsequent boot during
the boot process:
"The VMware Tools poweron script did not run successfully in this
virtual machine.
If you have configured a custom poweron script in this virtual machine,
please inspect it for errors; otherwise, please submit a support
request."
I suspect something is wrong with the open-vm-tools poweron script in
this case, but don't know what...
