Public bug reported: The attached screenshot shows the application saying it can't satisfy dependencies
I have been able to get this issue with deadbeak and Microsoft Edge https://deadbeef.sourceforge.io/download.html https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/download?platform=linux-deb in the case of edge if you add the PPA then you can install via apt-get and nothing breaks To reproduce just download a deb file and try to install it using the GUI $ qapt-deb-installer ~/Downloads/deadbeef-static_1.8.8-1_amd64.deb Get sad you can't install it without breaking apt... install it anyway using dpkg this is odd apt is perfectly happy Installed with dpkg: $ sudo dpkg -i ./deadbeef-static_1.8.8-1_amd64.deb [sudo] password for chad: Selecting previously unselected package deadbeef-static. (Reading database ... 248027 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to unpack .../deadbeef-static_1.8.8-1_amd64.deb ... Unpacking deadbeef-static (1.8.8-1) ... Processing triggers for desktop-file-utils (0.26-1ubuntu2) ... Oh look at that nothing is broken $ sudo apt-get install -f [sudo] password for chad: Reading package lists...
