I prefer to conserve config files, I do a "move" instead a "re-move"
I assume the selection is by file extension.
move *.rules to *.rules.OFF, the OFF at the filename END is important.

snapd is the most fragile, kludgey Linux system that I have encountered in
three decades of Linux use.
Renaming OFF.66-snapd-autoimport.rules did not resolve this issue for me.
