Thanks for your bugreport.
This is not a apt bug, one of the internal server that hosts
archive.ubuntu.com was out of date and that is why the 404 errors
happend. It should be fully back in service now.

bigern75 tried it from multiple computers running hardy after a 'sudo
apt-get update' ?
Looking at the repository that it is trying to access there are no files
by those names on the server. There are similar ones however, I'm not
familiar enough with apt-get enough to troubleshoot, so I'll pass t
same problem here this morning.

Are you sure that you are not behind some proxy? I have faced this when
behind a proxy.
