I seem to have a related problem, but not quite the same. NumLock worked fine on my prior USB keyboard (Inland Multimedia and Office keyboard M/N: MC855692) until last week. All of a sudden, *nothing* would make the number pad work again. I don't recall if this was right after an update or not.
