I have the same problem with Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (330e). I don't have problem inserting the module but after inserting it I have an ops from kernel, like others report. What should I report or add other infos to make change the status from incomplete? -- no version for snd_pcm_new

Ubuntu gets worser and worser, when violation Linux standard base kernel setup, if they worked together with Debian and fedora things could be come a lot better: I updated my installation guide that should make it able to install the drivers, but its not a very nice way of doing things:

I finally solved my problem thanks to the description found in #204578. Actually this entry is a duplicate of it. The problem seems to be a version mismatch of ALSA included in the linux source (1.0.15) and the version which is run by Ubuntu (1.0.16). However, the EM28xx source compiles against
