This bug seems related to the xgl-server
I just removed xserver-xorg-xgl (switching to AIXGL) and the segfault is gone.
Can anyone confirm this?

Installing 2.4.1 didn't change anything. 3-4 reboots and keytouchd died
in the same way. I am using a custom keyboard configuration file that I
created with keytouch-editor 3 beta.
I can confirm that starting a new daemon (as kiri/acron suggests)
returns the extra key functions back.

keytouchd does crash randomly at startup for me. I didn't have apport
on, so can't get you guys a stack trace. All I get is the following in
the syslog:

I haven't seen this crash in a long long time now. anyone else who

Same here. keytouchd crashes on every login. Special keys do not work until
starting keytouchd again eighter in xterm or by clicking "Apply" in keytouch.
Sorry for not providing a properly report apport is not reporting the crash to
me...
System is almost the same as the OP's system.
Architectur
Mine crashes sometimes too. Not only after logging in. Just at random.
Sometimes it does not seem to have an adverse effect. Sometimes my media keys
stop working. I can usually make it work again just by going into the keytouch
program hitting apply, and then the keys work again.
I do not know
I only had the one crash.

Since I chose this existing bug it seems the bug-reporter-thingy chose not to
attach my stack trace and details, so sorry!
