Connecting to a ssh host
I'm experiencing the slowness when using a clean install of hardy alpha
5 or alpha 6. To me this is a show stopper. I use it all the time on
7.10 and it's fast. It is basically unusable right now.
To duplicate, install a clean install of Hardy alpha 6. Then connect to
another machine on the ne
Seb, you are right; removing file-roller does fix things.
With file-roller installed actions like selecting directories, moving
the selection with either the arrow keys or the mouse, opening
directories, drag-and-drop, took about 3 seconds.
Is this a known bug ? Please let me know if I can help w
the bug might be due to something else installed slowing down nautilus.
what action is slow exactly? could you try to uninstall file-roller,
restart nautilus and tell us if the slowness is still there?

Seb, gvfs-ls works OK, only nautilus is slow for ssh mounts.
My setup, if it helps - dual boot 7.10 and 8.04, with shared home;
connecting to another 7.10 install.

Thank you for your bug report. Does gvfs-ls has the same issue? Are copy
slow too? Other users don't have reported a similar issue and several
people commented that gvfs browsing was smoother
