Cannot reproduce with Jaunty, Firefox 3 (3.0.11+build2+nobinonly-

it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you.
Judging by the last comments this bug may be fixed. Can you try with the
latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

The problem is no longer present when using Intrepid beta, Firefox 3
(3.0.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) and icedtea-gcjwebplugin

For those wanting to use the Swedish Bank ID applet: removing the
icedtea-gcjwebplugin and using Sun Java 6, sun-java6-plugin (tested
with 6-06-0ubuntu1 from multiverse/web) instead, is a work-around for
this particular problem in Icedtea.

Icedtea plugin breaks (goes grey) when loading applet
Re. Matti Lindell's suspicion that this is probably a duplicate/related
to bug #207064 (and bug #203484) - this is *not* the case since I can
reproduce using Ubuntu 8.04.1, Firefox 3.0 (3.0+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.04.1) and icedtea-gcjwebplugin (1.0-0ubuntu7 from
universe/web) on 2.6.24-19-generic

The problem arose after upgrading to Ubuntu 8.04 (32-bit).
I use Firefox 3 beta 5.
Solution for me was:
I searched Synaptic for JRE and realized I had many versions.
I uninstalled all but sun-java6-bin, sun-java6-jre and

I got the exact same problem when upgrading to hardy. After trying to
fix things through editing permissions in different versions of
java.policy (I wasted a couple of hours doing that :-), I found the
simple solution to be the best. I uninstalled jre with synaptic and
reinstalled through firefox
This is probably a duplicate/related to bug #207064 (and bug #203484).

I attached the log from the output when running Firefox 3.0 in Hardy.
