Hello there...
I am using gutsy as well with avermedia a16d which also shows up as
saa7133 but I haven't managed to playback any video.
I am attaching a copy of dmesg output
/i have also compiled the latest v4l but without successful results.
any suggestions?

Hi,
I'm testing Hardy (mythbuntu). I've all the latest updates (18 March
- 2008.
+ 2008).
On Gutsy my tv-card works
Addition: I discovered that mplayer gives correct tv-output. Only
mplayer, Mythtv also doesn't work. When I scan channels in Mythtv it
gave a no signal result. (even when I scan channes in KdeTV), I added
manually a frequency to test)
