I have this issue solved by having the latest scalix version.
That is the only way to fix this problem.

This has been confirmed by Scalix staff on their forums.
Scalix 1.4 will be released in Q2 08 and fix the issue.

Confirmed as still a problem with b5, both on Windows and Hardy so
obviously an upstream FF or Scalix issue.

Because I tested with several browsers and with Firefox2 I can only say
that it is an unfinished product but .. it says it is beta! So we should
wait for a fix. They already know of the problem.
