It seems like the problem has been fixed, probably a quirk of the theme
and not of acroread.
However there is a small issue, you can notice in the attachment that
the application icon is not there in the panel nor in the window
decoration. I'll open another small bug for this.
** Attachment
Latest theme updates fixed the problem
** Changed in: acroread (Ubuntu)

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
Bugs,
Ludwig: I know there is a bug filed in Launchpad for the disappearance
(or something like that) of the applications menu. Unfortunately, I
can't find it right now.
But there is an Ubuntu Forums thread at:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=576703

[Hardy] Menu bar has a color problem -
TJ: Your issue is Bug 49613. You are referring to the flashplugin and
not acroread (Adobe Acrobat Reader, which reads PDF files)
Ari: You are referring to Adobe Acrobat Reader (which reads PDF files),
correct and not the flashplugin? If so, please take a screenshot, so it
becomes more apparent
This also affects Adobe Flash plug-in in Firefox 3.0b4 on Hardy beta
amd64.
When moving the mouse-pointer the item under it turns invisible when the
system 'highlights' it.
** Also affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
