This didn't need to be escalated to ubuntu-release, this seems like a
straightforward request for a bugfix that should go through ubuntu-
sponsors. Anyway, I've gone ahead and synced it now.
New changes:
luametatex (2.11.01+really2.10.08+ds-1) unstable; urgency=medium
* Downgrade to 2.10.08
This issue somehow resolved itself for me.
