Uninstall libarts1-mpeglib and libarts1-xine.
Even if we would find the code which causes the crash (which is
doubtable), it would be highly unlikely that we can fix this crash
without causing at least one new (also Arts, the KDE 3 sound server, is
not used in KDE 4 anymore). I am closing this
I changed the status to incompleate since other people seem to still
have this problem. I no longer have this problem since reinstalling
hardy(arr what a pain...)

If there is a fix to this then why I can see problem described above ? I
am keeping system fully updated. This error occurs when I put my mouse
over any media file and move it away too quickly. Sound begin to appear
and after this nothing happens. The only way is to restart all kde. I

Alexis, do you still have this problem? for me it has gone away since
the latest updates. I will change the status to 'fix committed' since I
no longer have the problem.

I've exactly the same problem with video files (not with sounds or image
files). I've just upgraded my PC to hardy...

The problem come from the sound overview of the video file (when i put
my mouse over). To evit that konqueror hang out, i've just disable
sound preview (and i can keep video overview, in Edition menu)...
(but now, i cannot use mouse over to listen music file's exact)..
(sorry for my poor english.
In trying this again it seems that this happens not when i I put my
mouse over the icon. but after I move my mouse off of the icon.
