Public bug reported: Please see this forum thread describing the problem:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=671411 "Not connected?" popup keeps on coming up for a particular printer. I click it and it comes back. I asked about this in #ubuntu and then found this thread on ubuntuforums.org and figured that it was a bug that others are seeing. This is in Ubuntu 7.10. In the "Policies" tab in the "Printer configuration" application, I've chosen to unclick The three active state check boxes: * Enabled * Accepting jobs * Shared. All three are unchecked. But the popup still persists. Also, under settings the Device URI is: socket://<printer_ip_address>:9100 So I believe it's an IPP type setup. In synaptic cupsys version is listed as 1.3.2-1ubuntu7.5 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "Not Connected?" printer popup every 10 seconds or so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207194 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
