The attached boot chart does not support the claim that the boot is
slow, 29s is perfectly reasonable.
Where are you feeling the slowness?

It is actually faster than it used to be. I'm guessing one of the
updates fixed something. Heck if I know.

By the time the Ubuntu splash screen is displayed, grub is no longer in
the picture.
Reassigning to upstart; upstart may not be the precise cause of the slow
boot, but since upstart manages the boot process, that package may be a
better place to look.

I installed new on beta hardy. It takes over a minute
to even bring up the login screen. It just has the
Ubuntu bar going for over a minute. I assumed that
was grub.
