The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

whole computer all by itself. This type of freeze has to be either a
kernel bug or a hardware bug (although it might later be determined that
there's a workaround of some kind in the installer). Reassigning over to

completed successfully. However, after booting into ubuntu, the system
completely froze when downloading and installing updates through
synaptic. The laptop froze when installing "ubuntu-docs"...not sure if
