It seems to happen again in oneiric ocelot. After using ubuntu for a
while, the files in the nautilus appear ugly, they are black and white.

Been using hardy for a while now and fortunately the issue seems to be
gone.

issue, seems to be specific to your configuration, should be debugged by
somebody getting the bug

Well, since the issue is so sporadic I'd have to use Hardy for a long
time in order to see if it's still present. Seeing as hardy is still in
beta I don't think I will start using it until it's out. It must be
something related to my system only I guess seing as this bug is the
only report about
