Public bug reported: When trying to upgrade a feisty installation to gutsy `apt-get dist-upgrade` attempts to remove apt/libstdc++-6
The feisty installation has all packages updated and backports/universe/multiverse repositories enabled. This behavior was said to be fixed in bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-4.1/+bug/75562 But it apparently still exists. The installed libstdc++ version is `4.1.2-0ubuntu4`, so maybe the problem which was supposed to be fixed with `4.1.1-21ubuntu2` has been re-introduced ? After removing `g++-4.1` and `libstdc++6-4.1-dev` (plus dependencies) the issue seemed to be fixed and the upgrade is now in process. ** Affects: gcc-defaults (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apt dependency libstdc++ -- upgrade from feisty to gutsy tries to remove apt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210688 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
