This update has been in jaunty-proposed for half a year or longer,
without any testing feedback. I removed the jaunty-proposed packagage
again.

Conduit crashes without python-gnome2-extras
It seems someone accepted the package back then, without using sru-
accept to call for testing. The updated package has been in jaunty-
proposed for half a year, can someone please test this and give feedback
here? Thanks!

The debdiff looks good, so consider this an ACK from ~motu-sru to
proceed with uploading to proposed.
However, I do suggest following the procedure at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates?action=showredirect=SRU#Procedure
Particularly item #2 about revising the original bug description
For Karmic, webkit is used instead of gtkmozembed. I set the bug as Fix
released, but I let a task for Jaunty with the debdiff.

Attached is a patch to add recommends for python-gnome2-extras. As
conduit can work without Facebook dataprovider, a depends should be a
bit too much in this case.

Still happens in Ubuntu Jaunty, fresh install.

Could you please launch conduit in a terminal to see the exact output.
Conduit doesn't need gtkmozembed on Jaunty (it depends on webkit).

I think at least facebook need gtkmozembed (in python-gnome2-extras).
Here is the attachment since the UI is visible.
Of course, the window asking for login into facebook does not show.

I confirmed, the current version on Jaunty still need gtkmozembed and
the python-gnome2-extras package for at least Facebook dataprovider.

I agree.
Python-webkit is broken in Jaunty (hangs), so the conduit Jaunty package
must be build and configured to use gtkmozembed, and dependencies
adjusted accordingly.
Arghh
