Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
When I try to download "BOINC" (http://bonic.berkeley.edu) I get the message "cannot read character UTF-8". I tried the suggested options in the dropdown menu but the did not work. (Ububtu-7.10) NO DOWNLOAD I've been running Boinc programs on Win 98, Win XP and Win Vista for years and never saw this problem. I'm trying to switch all my equipment over to Linux. I'm fed-up with MS. I need your help.
