I have the same problem with netbeans 6.5 from native packages. I am using Jaunty beta with sun jre 6. I was using scim. After removing it the problem remains. Read on internet that using sun jre 5 to run netbeans can fix the problem but havn't tried out yet. -- Keyboard stops working in java
