padevchooser/pavucontrol would have been used to select the output audio
device, but both are deprecated in jaunty. Use the Volume Control
instead.

Hi IanW,
For the moment, it is still an issue but maybe 8.10 will solve it with
pulse audio because the usb speahers works fine and I only have to find
how to force applications to use it.
