I've got exactly the same problem since kernel 2.6-22 (when I moved to
gusty).
I made a fresh install based on the beta of Hardy and took done hardware
elements that were not essential.
Motherboad: ASUS P4P800
Processor: Intel P4 2.8c
Ram: 2Go
Hard Drive: Maxtor 120 Go
Graphic card: Sapphire
Nbabs - freezing can have all sorts of causes, it's very unlikely that
you have the same bug.
