When I run Terminal from Applications menu, my glxinfo is:
$ glxinfo

direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: SGI

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 on Gateway MX6638b with Intel Mobile
915GM/GMS/910GML... Everything woks good but i have no direct
rendering... Compiz woks nice... som effect are very slow... 3D is very
slow!
It's bug? Or how can I enable direc rendering??? Please help!

Jany, do you have too big virtual screen? See bug 146859. Remember to
keep your ubuntu updated. Compare your /etc/X11/xorg.conf with the
posted ones, except the first one.

My screen resolution is 1280x800 and I have my Ubuntu updated... I also
try to configure my xorg.conf but stil nothing.
Here is my standard xorg.conf: (with some changes in synaptics)

Newer xorg.conf. Very basic configuration file, but even dual head seems
to work direct rendered in ubuntu 8.04 now.
