Public bug reported: Ubuntu Hardy, fully updated to the end of 2008.04.23., on both generic and rt kernels.
If file is being copied anywhere, it's modification time reset to current time. This happens systemwide: on /, /home, /media/* on any filesystems. Privileges or applications do not matter: copying under user or root, in Nautilus or with cp, result in loss of timestamp! Changing "realtime" to "defaults" (or full set of defaults options) in fstab does not solve the problem. I'm already lost timestamps on many files. There were no such error on gutsy. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Loss of file modification timestamp when copying https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221356 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
