Sorry for the "me too" but after much searching I found this report. Firstly, am pleased to say shutdown button is now available, after selecting "show actions menu". What worries me is that the button was available before (in 8.04 if I recall correctly) and something had reset a value such th

Is the "Show Actions menu" option enabled in gdmsetup? Seems like this option is somehow linked to the logout window options: the "Shut Down" and "Restart" buttons do not get displayed if this option has been turned off. At least that is the case on my laptop with Hardy installed. -- [Hardy] No p
