I created a script that solves the problem temporarily until they solve the bug
in the kernel (libATA)
First create a file IDE_DMA.sh and add to the file

I have separated the units in channels IDE difrentes and see that the
tape recorder follows without being able to be used with the active DMA
but at least I can install UBUNTU

Now in the tape recorder DVD-RW I have the DMA deactivated if activate
it editing the file/ETC/hdparm.conf the tape recorder I cannot start
the session he says to me mountig place filesystems and before it goes
out hdc drive not ready for command

estan connected in the same channel with ubuntu 7.10 version 64 not tape-worm
