After installing the distribution upgrade resuming from suspend and hibernate works perfectly. Network manager refused to come back after suspending at first, but this may be tangential because it was also broken in all sorts of other ways and seems to have fixed itself. Thank you! -- display w

Update: Just going into and out of suspend from the UI without closing the laptop lid works fine. It looks like the problem is that closing the laptop lid now also turns off the display, which I've never been able to come back from, in addition to going to suspend. -- display won't come back fro
