I have successfully installed ttf-arphic-ukai in intrepid. The file
/etc/defoma/hints/ttf-arphic-ukai.hints is 1.9kB, and dpkg --configure
ttf-arphic-ukai gives me no errors...

as I cannot reproduce this problem, does it help to reinstall the
package?
