Thanks Michael. I had a hunch that it was just a download problem, but wasn't
sure because the same thing happend a dozen times before I sent in the bug
report.
I am happy to report that I tried the upgrade again tonight, and it worked! I
have successfully upgraded to Hardy Heron.

During release time the mirrors are often a bit stressed and hickups

This sounds like the ca.archive.ubuntu.com server is having problems.
Can you please try again and see if it is a transient problem? The
packages downloaded will still be available, so you will not have to do
download them all again.
