reproducible with another new user created on your system? Can you
reproduce the same with the compiz package from the proposed repository?

Looks like it's fixed with the latest updates, couldn't reproduce it
lately.

It doesn't happen always, maybe the first time you unmaximize/maximize a
window. It does happen after 3-4 retries.
I couldn't reproduce it in metacity, so I'm marking it as a compiz bug
