OpenOffice.org 3.0 RC 1 is out. Will be any possibility to have it here for
Hardy? I had some problems trying the .deb version offered directly.
Any way RC 2 is expected for September 12th. :-)

I've installed the PPA on my system and from what I have seen it works
like a charm. The only bug I found yet is a wrong splash screen but that
wont be any news for you.

You might have to remove the openoffice.org l10n related packages you
have installed to install the test debs. Upstream hasn't finished the
l10n support OpenOffice.org 3.0 yet so it is only available for English.

I've added the ppa to my sources.list, but after updating it sais that
the update's for openoffice are available, but they are being hold back.

If someone wants to do the work. It won't be going into the main
repository though as hardy is already released and OOo 3.0 is a major
new version. 2.4.1 was only allowed into hardy-proposed since it was a
bugfix only release.
