I confirm the first patch which stops the crash and removes a lot of
litter from my logs. (It would be nice for sensors to actually report
results too, of course.)

And this patch makes it possible see the temperature on the CPU cores, as
provided by coretemp driver. It reports the sensor attached to ISA, which is
wrong, and does not report the value from that strange hwmon0 (has "acpitz" in
its name attribute) sensor.
