Public bug reported: Whenever I am behind a proxy and I want to connect to internet, I supply my username and password to the proxy manager. Now this I observed with Synaptic, that whenever I am giving a password, which has special characters like '@' , '%' then there is a problem. The password and the proxy site cannot be resolved properly and the application cannot connect to the internet
Say my passwd is [EMAIL PROTECTED] so when the proxy manager tries to resolve username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@<proxy>:port it generally takes [EMAIL PROTECTED] as the prosy server's name and hence cant resolve it. ** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Problem with proxy manager. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230968 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
