It seems that remote links to local files are not permitted for security
reasons in Firefox / Mozilla browsers. We can amend the links to point
at the online versions of the documents. I've committed a fix for that
to our repository, although it won't be transferred to help.u.c until
the next time

I've discovered that it linked to a file, which can be opened manually
in the path specified
(file:///usr/share/doc/diveintopython/html/toc/index.html). Is it just
me that could not open the file?

Weirdly I can't open the file when it's linked from the webpage, but if
I copy and paste the URL it works fine.
Perhaps the new firefox stops file:/// URIs from non-local webpages.
