Lucas, according to the Xorg.6.log file you attached to this bug, the
mga driver can detect the 1024x768 resolution correctly - this seems to
be a DDC detection problem, not a driver issue.
If possible, please attach the output of sudo ddcprobe, and sudo
xresprobe mga.
