Public bug reported: I can only assume that the Install CD doesn't have the capability to load the Broadcom drivers at boot time. The PC simply comes to a standstill with no error messages of any kind, I have waited for a time- out but to no avail, I can upgrade Ubuntu 7.10 only via the updater but want a clean install from the 8.04 installation CD. I cannot disable my wireless function in BIOS, even switching off wireless doesn't help.
Hope this info is of help.
