Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine
In Ubuntu Hardy, you can now double-click on a .exe file and WINE will try to run the selected file (if WINE is installed). Currently, this does not happen with .msi files, even though WINE can run .msi files. What is missing is this line: wine msiexec /i xyz.msi Currently, wine trys to run the .msi file like: wine xyz.msi and it returns the error: Couldn't display "xyz.msi". There is no application installed for this file type Can we add that line to .msi detection? ** Affects: wine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- WINE in Ubuntu cannot automatically run .msi files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236589 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
