What I have tried:
Moving profiles/extensions aside:
mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla-bak
Running in safe mode:
firefox --safe-mode
firefox -safe-mode
I'm not
Verified symptoms that Kyle reported. I had Firefox running while the
update was happening in Ubuntu. Just closing Firefox and reopening
doesn't kill the process completely. Everything worked after I killed
the sleeping process and started Firefox again.
