Public bug reported:

This package and the network-manager gnome package will not install via
sudo apt-get, aptitude, or the Synaptic package manager.  The only
result is an error message stating that ¨E: network-manager: subprocess
post-installation script returned error exit status 127  and  E:
network-manager-gnome: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured.
