I have updated my PC to Intrepid and it connects to my wireless network
without any hickups. Unless any of the other "me too"s come around and
say they are having a problem, I think this one can be closed out.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

When I boot using the new kernel, I get the following message which I think is
relevant to the bug:
bcm43xx: Error: Microcode "bcm43xx-microcode5.fw" not available or load failed.
With the old kernel (2.6.22-14-generic) I don't get that, and it works.
